The National Medical Consultants medical malpractice seminar was by far the most informative and enjoyable courses that I have taken for continuing legal education. The atmosphere between lawyers and physicians was cordial with interaction on a personal and professional level. The physicians who presented in their specialties were well credentialed and well prepared and spoke to the very heart of the issues that are faced by malpractice attorneys. It was somewhat eye-opening to learn just how so many reviewing doctors are looking at plaintiff's' cases with a view towards defending their fellow doctor, but it also gave me, as a practicing plaintiff's lawyer, some insight on how to direct the focus and theories when presenting a case to a reviewing expert so that they will be accepted by the expert as well as the jury. All in all, I thought that the seminar was excellent and I would recommend it as well as the services of National Medical Consultants to any attorney who practices medical malpractice in either the plaintiff or defense bar.
