A broad spectrum of some of the best medical experts in the United States attended an enthusiastic and informative malpractice seminar with plaintiff and defense attorneys for the first time, held June 30, 2007 on Long Island, NY.

The purpose of this landmark meeting, organized by Dr. Eugene DeBlasio, President of National Medical Consultants, P.C., was to provide an intimate forum for medical experts from many specialties and attorneys to lecture on malpractice. Rarely have doctors, nurses and lawyers been given the opportunity to interact both educationally and socially.

The second goal of this seminar was to capture all the invaluable information and produce an educational DVD textbook on malpractice litigation. No such resource text currently exists.

The financial proceeds from this text will be donated to the Children’s Sunshine Fund, a non-profit organization to support pediatric research.

Only through interdisciplinary forums such as this seminar and text can better understanding be gained and important changes be made for future medical litigation reform.
